Ashtanga yoga is a traditional method of yoga. As my teacher says, Ashtanga yoga is a psychophysical practice. Ashtanga yoga includes 8 parts, and not just the physical
performance of asanas. Those are: yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi.
We gradually get to know all of this in class.
Who is Ashtanga yoga suitable for?
Physical Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga classes are suitable for all people with any level of physical fitness. The practice is adapted to everyone. The goal of the practice is to turn your attention inside of yourself and experience getting to know yourself.
How is Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga different from other types of yoga?
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a traditional method of yoga, in which a number of poses from Hatha Yoga are arranged in a certain sequence. There are only 6 such sequences, and the seventh is considered to be the building of a family.
The sequences were created by the teacher Krishnamacharya, and then modified and distributed by his student Pattabhi Jois. At the moment, Pattabhi Jois's work is continued by his daughter Saraswati Jois and grandson Sharath Jois in Mysore, India.
In the Ashtanga Vinyasa method, there are two types of classes: Mysore and Led classes. In Mysore classes, we learn, memorize and perform the sequence ourselves, and in Led classes, the same sequence is performed under the teacher's count. Knowledge, as a rule, is transmitted as close as possible to how the teacher at the source of knowledge originally passed it on. This concept in Sanskrit is called "parampara".

On the days of the new moon and full moon - replacement of the practice of Mysore and Led classes with a lighter version. Theoretical classes are possible. Mysore and Led classes are not held on lunar days, the days are marked in the
schedule.
In the first 3 days of the period cycle - girls should not practice. Please let me know.
Try not to drink water during the practice. Do not eat heavy food for 2 hours before the practice. If you have a snack - as light as possible and not much. For example, dates or 1 boiled egg with butter or fruit.
It is possible to freeze or reschedule classes only for individual classes, with at least 24 hours' notice.
